Course Description and Learning Objectives

Description:

The play therapist must always be able to adapt materials and space to meet the needs of clients, and this is especially true today as play therapy itself is modified to meet virtual and in-person needs. This workshop is intended to provide strategies for modifying and utilizing play therapy materials and space to meet the available options. Many play therapists are looking to condense their play therapy materials to minimize cleaning and storage needs while still providing effective play therapy sessions. Strategies will be discussed for both virtual and in-person play therapy sessions and will cover suggestions for affordable materials and play therapy techniques. The creative use of outdoor spaces for play therapy sessions will also be discussed.
