Course Description and Learning Objectives
Description:
Play therapy gives clients amazing opportunities to explore familial and social relationships through play. Clients can initiate the therapeutic powers of play through their work with sand, art, and play-based materials as they examine functional and dysfunctional support systems. Participants will learn how to use these techniques to assess relationships, strengthen support systems, and identify new connections. This training will introduce several techniques through demonstrations and encourage hands-on learning! Note: It would be useful to have a few sheets of plain paper, some construction or colored paper, coloring supplies, a glue stick or tape, and a small selection of miniatures available during this training.
