Course Description and Learning Objectives

The development and use of metaphors create a bridge of connection between the listener and the therapeutic message within the story or activity. Focusing on an Ericksonian resiliency-focused perspective, we will look at how to use real-life experiences, cultural stories, and elements of nature as metaphors that can facilitate transformational healing, balance, and wellness for children who are facing life and learning challenges.
